I was just looking at my goals - 221 by July 1st. I'm not sure this is logistically possible. I looked at my history and the past tells me that 225 is more reasonable. I'm not going to change it just yet - I may issue myself a little challenge for the month of June. It might be just what I need to get through all the traveling and extras I have for this month.
I just got a little tickled! Did you see what number I am talking about? TWO TWENTIES! I haven't been there for probably eight years!
Okay - I am going for a 10 pound loss for the month of June! I'm going to be at 221 by July 1st - Maybe I should make it July 10th - That's my birthday. What an awesome present to me.
Happy two twenties to me! Happy two twenties to me!
I just saw your post on facebook. You are doing the Utah Valley 5k! Great. My cousin is running that. Actually, I think my Aunt will run the Strawberry Days run, also. Great way to boost your workouts, something tangible to work towards. I've got hooked on these blogs, got to stop, but I commented on one today that was very much like yours. Sam is her name, and she started the blog tour (see Mama's Fit Life). Anyway, I will tell you the same thing I told her. Do not give up on your goal. Instead, make little mini-goals that do not have to do with weight loss. Weight loss is so unpredictable, with too many variable, so make these goals something you have total control over. An example, exercise so many minutes today, do not use mayo on your sandwich, add fruit to your salad instead of dressing, eat a healthy snack at 10:00 am, and etc. When you make your goals about something you have total control over, the things you don't have control over (like the scale) will follow.
