Wednesday -- yeah! Closer to the weekend and closer to sunshine. I had a great winter. Sometimes it bothers me and a little depression sets in. Then the sun starts shining and so do my spirits. Can I tell you how long this winter has been? I haven't had any problems this year - who knows why - but yesterday and today -- UG! Come on sun! Where are you? Come chase the snow away!!!! It's May! Did you miss the memo?
I was on the treadmill again - running in drizzle isn't appealing to me right now. I sick of the weather and I don't want to learn to enjoy it! Maybe that's the problem.......if I enjoyed it --- it wouldn't bother me.... deeeeeeepppp
I have to tell you that I just bought my second watermelon from Costco. Oh my heck. So yummy. Love it! I'm stocked and ready to go -- Have you ever tried the spring salad mix? All sorts of leafy greens - no iceberg lettuce insight. A little BYU light Ranch Dressing and I'm set. Oh yummy! Off to shower. Have a great day!

  1. Running cures depression, especially when you can do it outside. You probably had a great winter because you ran. Since I started running I have seen two great benefits: 1) The winter is not so depressing nor is anything else. 2) I hardly ever (close to never) get sick. Those are pretty great side effects.
Okay, so running in a drizzle does not seem enjoyable right now, but promise me you will try it in the summer. It could be one of the most refreshing workout you will ever have. However, I'm wishing for sun too.
So, my favorite salad has green leaf lettuce, spinach, red cabbage, green onions, stawberries, grapes, and cheese (usually mozzarella or blue). No dressing needed, but a little olive oil would have some nutritional benefits if you like it. You could add a little leftover chicken for protein if you like also.
Keep up the great work! Life is great! Oh, I had one suggestion for your weekends, blog those days also. Right now, it looks like you skip bloggin on the weekends?(maybe I am wrong, didn't pay much attention to dates), that allows you to not feel accountable. If you want to have the same results as weekdays, treat it like a weekday. Just a thought.
