Such a beautiful morning. A little slow getting to my post but the morning has been crazy. I went for a walk with my husband this morning. He has a great route. It was nice to be outside. Nice -- what's that about? It was AWESOME!!! I was supposed to do strength today but outside tempted me and won. Maybe I'll have time to lift tonight.

I'm back on track eating wise and have been for the last couple days. I have my staples and when they're gone then I begin to wander. I bought a HUGE bag of carrots and hopefully they are gone by next week - that's my goal. I'm also going to eat all of my salad mix before its date is up. Yum, yum, here I come. I'm going to get some help from my boys - a few carrots won't hurt them.

Why is this journey so important? Why now? For me it's about me. I want to play with my kids. I want to hike with my kids. I want them to see me be active. I have a beautiful daughter and three wonderful sons who need to be active and learn to eat for fuel and not because they are bored.
Now is the time. Yep, the journey is long. A quote I love that is some where on this blog is this "A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step."

I was just reading my post and this quote is directly to the right -- I thought that was funny!
