Another wet and rainy Monday. I was all set to put on everything warm and go outside but man... was it raining. One day I will learn to appreciate running in the rain. I'm sure it's great.
Week 6 in the 5K training brings running 5 mins, walking 3 mins, running 8 mins, walking 3 mins then running 5 mins. It has been a long time since running 8 minutes continually so I did stop twice. After last week though, the 5 minutes portions weren't too bad. Yes ready to walk when it was time but I ran the entire 5 minutes. Victory! By Friday I will be on my way to running the entire 8 minutes.
I love that I can see progress. I can feel it. I can measure it.
I've going to focus on my weekends for the next three months. I talked about it last week a little. This weekend wasn't bad. Really busy and that eliminates a lot of eating and facilitates a lot of moving. I don't believe that the weekends should be perfect. I think weekends save me from eating myself into oblivion at another time. I still regulate what I eat and I still track (I will always track) but if I want a little treat - great. Congrats to me. I've been doing great - enjoy the treat and then GET ON WITH IT! AHHH. I feel great!
