Oh today was so nice! Week 7 of 5K training!
The Goal - warm up 5 minutes, run 25 minutes or 2.5 miles, then cool down. Really? I could barely run 8 minutes last week.
IT WAS AWESOME. I knew if I could push through that first 1/2 mile I could do it. Thanks Melanie for the advice! My body loosened up, my lungs got ready to breath and off I went. I decided to run on the canal and I'm so glad that I did. It's a little flatter and just peaceful along the water! I decided to run to 500 North and not to look at my watch until I got there. It felt good. It took me 15 minutes to get there. I didn't stop and made it twice as far as last week - yeah! I stopped, caught my breath and started running back. I didn't stop until I got to the bridge at Nathaniel. Awesome! 31 minutes total! I will right more later - I've got to be somewhere at 9!
Way to go, Molly! I knew you could do it. Celebrate!
