I'm back to continue my thoughts from earlier.
I think I'm on a mental weight loss vacation. My mind is tired about worrying about what to eat and what to track (everything), and how much to move. It's time to get back on track. Time to get my journey underway. Enough is enough. I have celebrated being at 200 pounds. I felt happy here. My body hasn't been here for so long. Great - not really. It's time to move on.
What is my final goal? This has been looked at - I've figured out my BMI - I know my healthy weight. I've never pin pointed the number at Weight Watchers. Tomorrow I'm going to ask Vicki to help me set that goal. I'm not done, I'm looking at the big picture but I can't see the forest for the trees. What is the ultimate goal? What am I willing to give up to get that? It is worth sacrificing. I know. I've been this far. It's so worth it!
What is sugar in the big picture? Not really a whole lot. So I don't have a chocolate chip cookie for a while. The confidence and positive mental attitude created is so worth it!
My eyes are set on June - June 11th is the day of my half marathon. Wouldn't it be awesome to hit my ultimate goal that day? Done -- June 11, 2011 is my goal date.
It will take everything I can do to achieve this goal. It may possibly be the hardest thing I've done in my life. Can I do it? YES! I can do hard things! I will do this! I am on the verge of a victory! Focus. Power through and do what it takes to achieve!
Okay - I'm being realistic. I just did the math. I'm not trying to cast doubt but June 11th only gives my 12 weeks - that's almost 3 pounds a week. I haven't done that yet. This is what's going to happen. I'm going to give it my all. Starting today. I will see where I am April 1st and make a determination then. Go me. I will focus, plan and see what happens. Success is in sight.
3 pounds a week is a lot - but with hard work you can do it. But it will be hard work - so get started! pushups and crunches - running and walking will get you there...
ReplyDeleteOh, 3 pounds a week -- never done it. I'm putting my nose to the grindstone. I'm training for a half marathon and my mileage will increase so that will help. We'll see.
