Free or Not Free....

I've been out of town and it was a nice get away. Grandpa came and stayed with the kids and we went with some friends. I haven't had time to post until now.

Friday was my 6 miles run. It was great. I felt great. I felt like I could have run another 2 miles. Seriously. I am excited for the half marathon. I KNOW that I can do it.

Saturday I got up and ran OUTSIDE!! It was beautiful where we stayed. Out in the country. I ran with a little jack rabbit, horses in pastures and yes... lovely dogs that almost ate my lunch. It felt so good to run outside. Loved it.

Eating was okay. We were in Vegas so at the buffets I could load up on salad, veggies and fruit. I did sample some of the yummy desserts. If it wasn't worth it I didn't eat it.

Today I am back. The time change has thrown me off and I was so tired from traveling that I didn't run this morning. I did get up later and do The Shred. I really need to find a time to put this in on a regular basis.

Okay. Now for something big. I've been doing Weight Watchers for over a year. It's been good to go the meetings. I love tracking on my iphone. I have some concerns. Money - I spend $40 a month. iphone app - I would love to be able to enter my recipes on my phone instead of the desktop. Life Time - When I reach life time I will have to pay to continue to track on my phone.

I've found something new -- My Fitness Pal -- great app. I can create recipes on my phone. I can track everything, in every way that I am currently doing right now with the WW app. The best thing -- it's FREE! I don't have to pay anything to have the advantage of a huge data base and online and mobile tracking. This seems like a no brainer -- stop paying for Weight Watchers and use My Fitness Pal. Some other opinions would be great here. If you have time would you leave a comment. Thanks! Molly

  1. That sounds great to me! I haven't tried that one..but I've used MyNetDiary and Lose It! both free apps that are similar.

Sounds like we are on the same training schedule!! I am supposed to do a 5K race this weekend but not sure if that's going to happen!

    Keep up the great work!
