Today I ran 4 miles and did what I could remember from Jackie's workout on Friday. I'm trying to run faster - I'll run 2 fast laps and then a slower one, then 2 fast laps and I repeat this until I've got my mileage in. Today I tried to do 3 fast laps and one slow one. I felt great. During my last mile I tried to keep the pace up the entire way. I felt good when I was done. Then I did a little circuit training.

Saturday at weigh in I was up 0.6 pounds so I'm at 176.0 pounds. This is crazy. I'm a little frustrated. I need to step back. I need to measure and I need to evaluate how my clothes are fitting. It did click the other day that I may be gaining muscle and losing fat and just exchanging that pound for pound. Why the 4 pound increase?? I'm still going to keep pushing my water and getting more protein in each day.

Today I made protein pancakes. They were good. I'm not sure they're worth the points. Nine points for 3 pancakes with 1 1/2 tbs of strawberry jam. I did get 33 grams of protein but a protein shake gives me 36 grams of protein, a serving of dairy and a serving of fruit for 6 points. We'll see how full I feel all morning.

I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing. Get my protein in, lots of water, run, circuit train and track. Things will turn around. I am going to cut out sugary treats this week. Not even in moderation - none at all.

  1. Congrats on your run! I am wishing I had an indoor track to run on! I didn't go out this morning - it was pouring rain and windy. I did Jillian instead - level 2 - I always forget how hard that is.

    I think you are doing great! I hope cutting out the sugar for the week helps you out - I'm going strong on day 6 of no sugar - sometimes it has been hard, but I am feeling better. Good luck!
