Running today was fabulous. Fabulous. It wasn't on a treadmill, I was so excited to go. I only ran a 5K - seems when you only run once in a week your body doesn't start where you left off. My body did great until I stopped to walk after the 3.12 mile mark - after that it was done. Legs didn't feel too bad but my lungs were a little tight. That's okay - There's always tomorrow!! My pace was faster today, probably because of the amount of people running - lots to pace myself with.

Did I meet my holiday goal? I'm close. I didn't get on the scales on January 1st - my first weigh in at Weight Watchers is this Saturday and that's what I'm going to go by. I'm not going to get on the scales night and morning this year. I'm going to focus on healthy behaviors, exercise and positive thinking - not the "NUMBER" :)

I'm ready to begin the new year. I'm ready to start seeing some progress. In my head -- now in writing -- I want to be at lifetime by July. July 10th - my birthday. That's 6 months -- I have less than 40 pounds to lose. I can do this. I will.

I'm signing up for a half marathon in June. It's the Utah Valley Half - The Utah Valley 5K was my first 5K ever. I thought it was fitting to run my first half marathon a year from my first 5K.

I've been active for a year now. What a year it has been. I've come so much farther than I thought was ever possible. I'm going to go so much more. 2011 -- You are looking great!

  1. Sounds like you are doing fabulous! I agree with the not weighing all the time, focusing on that number can mess with your head!
