So yesterday I took the day off ---- Thanks Keelie and Syl for helping me to see the light!

I've readjusted my priorities. Am I going to coast through the next 30-40 pounds??? Heck no! I worked hard for the first 47 pounds why should I be complacent about the remaining weight that needs to be shed? Thanks - truly for the great accounting you did. It helped be to get going again!

Fall always makes me think I should curl up with some comfort food and get ready to hibernated for the winter. ECH!!!!! Not going to happen this fall!

It has been so dark that running in the morning is just a dreaded event. After reading Keelie and Syl's posts yesterday I decided to figure out how I was going to run and enjoy it. We have a great online classifieds in our area - yesterday I was browsing and found a single jogging stroller -- $15! What the heck - I called and after an hour drive it was mine. I cleaned it, pumped up the tires, replace an inner tube and it was mine. I decided I'm going to run outside in the daylight as long as I can. I love it. I don't want that to end.

Today - I got up at the time I would normally go running. I got dressed for running. I went upstairs and cleaned. I did everything that I would normally do after my kids leave for school. I even got them to do their chores before they left. I got my little girl up, dressed her, and fed her. As soon as my boys were out the door, I strapped Miss B into the stroller and headed up the hill.

IT WAS LIGHT! IT WAS WARM! (kinda) IT WAS AWESOME!

Running with the stroller is a bit different. I am much slower but I really didn't mind. I got to the bridge where I turn around for a 3.5 mile run and I kept going. It felt great. I finished with 5 miles done! Yeah!

I figure I will only have to run with the stroller in Tuesday and Thursdays. Saturday I can run when it's light in the morning. Monday, Wednesday, Fridays will be dedicated to 30 Day Shred!

Now what about my eating.... it hasn't been bad but it hasn't been great either. I make treats for my kids everyday after school. I do have a cookie or two. Granted last year at this time I would have eaten 10 cookies but even 2 for what I'm trying to do is too many. I liked Syl's idea of have a 2 point snack - I'm like Syl - I can't give up my treat but I can change what my treat is.

I am so grateful for my blogging friends who really are in the same boat I am in - I didn't recognize the funk I was in until Keelie's "Comin' to Jesus Meeting"

This journey didn't suddenly turn into a lovely down hill run -- it's still uphill! The hardest part of the journey is still waiting for me. I'm committed to finishing strong.

I can do hard things!
