September 1 - WoW! Time just keeps marching along. It wasn't a running day but I had to do something - I didn't make it to the Rec Center to get my pass so that was out for today. I decided to walk some hills. I am blessed to live in a place with a lot of hills. When I got to the top I ran home. All in all - almost 2 miles - feels good. I'm sweating. My body is warmed up. Mentally - I'm ready! Big day today - first day of kindergarten for my son! Wahoo!

Can I add a little note about sleep? I love sleep. That past year - maybe that's stretching it. Maybe the past few months - I wake up achy and creaky. Not really rested but having slept almost 8 hours. Anyone else been there? Yesterday I kidnapped my husband to go "look" at mattresses. He wasn't going to buy. That's okay I thought - let's go see what's out there.

We went to the first place - $2000 for a nice king - I don't want a king - husband does. $1000 for a nice queen. Whoa - maybe I'll sleep with creaky and achy - I can walk it off after a few hours and a hot shower.

The second place is an outlet and we've found several items there over the years. We found a great salesman and just started talking. Great information. I knew after talking I didn't want an innerspring mattress. I laid on a memory foam one -- nice. Then I tried another - oh.... so nice. Intelligel --- price tag $1100. UG. My husband and the salesman talked for awhile - asked if we could take it home right now - uh ya. For the right price. After a few more minutes of dickering - we walked out the door with an awesome mattress - $639! Original price - $4200. Oh my heck. I slept so good last night. Probably because of the great deal I felt we got. They also threw in mattress cover, a sheet set and pillows. Love it!
