I need to post today - it's already afternoon. Ususally this is done in the morning, right after my run. Today it was dark - I'm finding my motivation slipping as it gets darker and darker in the early morning hours. I'll figure something out because I'm not going to quit. The results are too awesome to even think about quiting.
Yesterday was a cold morning. I pulled out my jeans to wear and none would fit me. Yeah! I was so excited. My mom happened to be visiting so she got to share the joy! I bought a size 16! I haven't worn a 16 in years - I'm not talking squeeze my butt in and have my fat hanging over the sides. They feel great. It was so much fun to try on each pair of size 16 jeans and realize that each pair fit. Lovin it!

Everything about running is good. I like the approach that Jeff Galloway has with taking walking breaks - it doesn't really hurt my overall time. It does hurt my pace -- look how slow that is with walking averaged in. While running I'm actually an entire minute less when I check. What to do? What to do? Do I skip my walking breaks and work on running straight through???
Work on stretching out the time between walking and running. If you are running 4 minutes and walking 1, try stretching it out to running 5 minutes and walking 1. Then lessen the walk time. Run 5 minutes, walk 30 seconds. You should get to the point where you can run at your faster pace the whole distance. See if it makes an overall difference in time. You should beable to increase your time especially on the 5k and 10k distances.
