A Message to Me

Dear Me-I-Want-To-Be,
In our Weight Watcher's meeting this week there was an outline to use to write a letter to my future self. What a huge year it has been. Many demons were conquered and I am on the way to being the me I want to be.
I've created some habits over the past twelve months that will last my life time. I have learned to track everything I eat - every bite. I struggled on the weekends and really took them off without tracking anything. I am conquering that issue and it is becoming easier and easier.

This year has been a year of firsts. I ran my first 5K and my first 10K. Next year I'm looking forward to more opportunities with running. I'm throwing around the idea of a half marathon - I can do hard things - this would definitely be hard! This has been a year of moving - running is a passion that I love to do

Weight Watchers has taught me many things, all are important. Eating healthy has improved the quality of life for myself and my family. Tracking and being responsible for everything I eat has taught me self control. This has helped me in so many aspects of my life - financially, spiritually and physically. One of the more important tools that I learned this year was managing my thoughts. A positive attitude is ESSENTIAL in the weight loss journey.

Next year, I will meet my goal and be a life time member of Weight Watchers. I know that this will happen and I can't wait. The new points plus program will a catalyst for this to happen and I can't wait to learn more and more.

I have my 20 year class reunion in July of 2011 and I can't wait to attend as the new me.

Running is a huge focus for me and as my weight drops I hope that running further is in the future. Running a half marathon in June is definitely in my sights.

Running at a faster pace is also a goal that I am setting. Running with a consistent pace under 11:00 is my goal for the upcoming year.

So future me -- you've got a lot to work on. Get going. Keep moving. You can do hard things. You already have! You haven't wasted a day all year! Keep it up!

Love,
The Me I Am Today!
