I have a 10K race that I've been debating on signing up for - I'm not sure what the debate is -- for MONTHS I've wanted to do a 10K in October. What's the hold up? The mental aspect of life is baffling. Can I do a 10K - answered. I've run over 6 miles and I run 5+ frequently. Physically - I can do it. Mentally -- what's up? Yes it's expensive - I haven't registered at the right time for it to be less money. It's just money. I would spend that much going out to dinner. Mentally -- 6 miles with other people. What if I'm the last one? What if... what if... what if... what if...
I'm going to sign up.
TODAY!
So, first of all, a friend of mine ran her first 1/2 at 20 weeks. Sign up, the worst that can happen is you can't do it. If you were pregnant and didn't want to run, you could walk. Exercise during pregnancy is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteNext, anxiety. Remember, everything doesn't have to be perfect, and things usually end up the same whether or not you fret. PTA things happen one way or another, it will be good enough, it will get done, you can only do so much. What you get done, you get done, what you don't, well, there is always tomorrow. I know, easier said then done, but makes for a much happier life. Did you sign up for the 10k? When and where?
