March 1, 2010

I'm not sure where to start this morning. Let's start with the good. I did 4 of the 5 miles with Leslie Sansone! 56 minute workout! Never before have I worked out for almost an hour. That's my goal this week -- boost my workouts by 10 minutes. Done! Day 1 - work out accomplished! I feel good, my body needed this.
Inside, I'm a wreck. Saturday was a great weigh in - 245.8 lbs! Yeah. Really felt like I was on the right path. On the way home, I stopped at the store and got some oranges, apples, bananas, milk and doughnuts. YES!!! DOUGHNUTS! What was I thinking. If it's not good for me it's not good for my kids. I ate 2! A whopping 14 points, just like that! Later that night we went to dinner. I seriously researched dinner for over an hour. I didn't want to blow everything that I had worked so hard for in a dinner (did I forget the doughnuts?). I knew a couple places that I could do okay. When we got to the first, they had closed for good. The second - an hour wait. The third - you could see a line to the door. We opted for a local hamburger place and by that time I was starving. No salad for me. I ordered a kids meal with a cheeseburger and onion rings. I also got a bowl of cheese and broccoli soup and had the crackers with it. My DH got a shake so I had some bites of that --- oh my gosh. Haven't I learned anything? Sunday I tried my best and at the end of the day I was over 8 points. My Saturday and Sundays have to be good or I go nowhere during the week and constantly back track.
This morning I got on the scale -- oh I wanted to cry. Up 4 pounds. Really..... I need a positive boost. This is a mental game. This is a journey. I took a few steps back. Can I find the path again. Heck ya! Did I think that there wouldn't be a set back? Silly me. Come on! Get it going again! I can do this! One day at a time! Make today count! I've already started right - 56 minutes of my heart pumping! Okay -- put on the smile - get to the shower and wash it away! I can do it! I can do hard things!!!!! GO!
