Yesterday was a great day! I tried to post from my phone but the blogger app on an android is really different from my iphone and I just haven't figured it out yet.
Eating was good. Not perfect but better. Bad habits created over the last 3 months are going to disappear over night but I am working on them everyday and soon I will have my good habits back. I have been sick and working out just didn't happen. Yesterday, I arranged for my friends to pick me up at 5:30 AM and take me to the gym. It's impossible to sleep in knowing that someone is picking you up!
Food today was different. I've been in a big RUT! Huge. Same thing everyday. I have hated food. I've hated thinking about food. I've hated spending money on food. I've hated preparing food. Yesterday I stepped back and thought about what I COULD eat, not what I couldn't . I created a yummy salad and even put cilantro on it. This may be a new favorite! The journey is long and there sure are lots of learning opportunities.
Today I made it to the gym on my own. I only ran 2 miles and then did some strength training and ab work. Eating today has been okay, again not perfect but not too bad. The scale is slowly moving down. Nice to see.
Is the Health Challenge having any influence on me? A little. It's in the back of my mind. I know that I would win this. The pot is around $900 split between 4 winners. Not a bad amount of money to win.
Sugar is still a struggle. I'm sure it always will be. Just getting control right now is what I'm shooting for, eliminating it will be next!
