So I'm back. You didn't even know I was gone did you? I went to Idaho Wednesday to pick up my boys and came back Thursday night. Quick trip - long drive. I didn't work out yesterday and I really missed it. I was hoping tomorrow I would have another star - another 5 pound loss - helping me pull closer to the 10% goal. When I travel I seem to eat. I took my veggie crisps, bananas, water, strawberries, thin buns, ham and my Crispix. It did help a lot. At the same time I still felt like I had to have something in my mouth. I really got sick of chewing gum. I didn't eat to bad at my parent's house. I made my own sandwiches and had my own cereal. I did Wednesday night have a crisp shell taco and a soft shell taco - oh so good. I even rinsed the ground beef - don't know if anyone was excited about that! My mom makes yummy things that I shouldn't eat - a pan of caramel was sitting on the counter when I got there. I asked what it was and quickly put in in a container and in the fridge. "Out of sight - out of mind!" That night though, when everyone was eating ice cream with caramel -- I had some. I didn't resist, I didn't even try. I had a cup of ice cream with caramel. Oh my gosh! Sooo good. I also dipped an oreo in the caramel -- this won't happen again. That I should have said no to. Last night on our way home the kids were hungry so I stopped at Wendy's. I had two small hamburgers minus the mayo - I had the points, I did ate them. Dry but filling. No fries so I feel good. I won't have a huge weight loss this week but I will be down a pound.
The running feels great. Next week it gets bumped up and I can't wait. I'm getting excited to start running outside. It is still too dark and too cold.
