My long run was today - around 5 miles. My friend who runs this same route has a pedometer on her shoes that tells her it's 5 miles but whenever I use Gmap Pedometer it says 4.6 - 4.7. I'm missing 3 tenths of a mile somewhere.

Distance 4.713 Time - 1:02

Today is my weigh in day. Not terribly excited about it. I'm doing a lot of work. My physical is good. Mentally. I'm just not back in it. I will be though. I like it when I've got the mental thing going. I just have to remember how to get it going.....

  1. Gmap is probably more accurate. If your friend's pedometer is not calibrated correctly, it could be off by just a little, or quite a lot. Gmap is done with GPS, probably more reliable. If you are set on an exact number, map a route that is the distance you want to go before you run, then you will be sure to run the distance you are expecting. I too, am having problems with eating. I haven't been good since I got pregnant with my last, and seem to be getting worse. My body and mind need to remember how to eat well. My body thinks it is hungry constantly, and I am eating a lot of junk food. Got to remember....
