I ran today for the first time in a week. It felt great. Slow but wonderful. I started reading Jeff Galloway's Book on Running - love it. I started incorporating walking breaks into my running. I can tell a huge difference in the way I feel and not a whole lot of difference in my time. I've got to find some time to read more so I can get a training program started.

I want to run a 10K on October 9th. There aren't many in this area and that should be a good for about 10 weeks of training.

The past two weeks have been full of picture opportunities. I have mixed feelings here. I feel like I have come so far. Forty pounds - wow. I look at the pictures of me and think - wow - I have so far to go. Pictures make is hard to realized just how far I've come.

Starting this week, today - I'm challenging myself. I want to see 209 by September 1, 2010. I'm going to have to do lots to get there. Training for a 10K will definitely help. Eating and tracking are also essential my success.

I can do hard things. I will be at 209 pounds by September 1, 2010.

Today's distance - 3.07 Time 41:29 No wonder I felt so good at the end - look at the time. Slow but not bad for not running a week.
