I took a day off today after doing my six miles yesterday. Six miles. SIX MILES. I've never run six miles. Never. Before this year I've only tried running one other time. It ended after about three months. I've been running about six months now and I am loving it. I want to keep loving it! Six miles. um....
Weigh in yesterday - down 0.4 lbs. Not enough to meet my goal but I will still be going! We aren't traveling this weekend which means 6 straight days of eating, tracking and working out. Why not 7 straight days? Well my husband brought home smoked brisket, baked beans, coleslaw and mashed potatoes for dinner. Then to top off all that yumminess - I had some ice cream. Today - I start my week to get to my goal! I can do hard things!
WAY TO GO! 6 mile is awesome and inspiring! :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteSo Molly, was six miles your mental block? Everyone has one, I thought six was the most I could ever go and that ten was impossible. When I ran ten the first time, it knocked down all walls. Once you hit that block, you realize no amount is impossible. Hard maybe, but not impossible. You can definitely do hard things. When is your 10k?
ReplyDeleteOne thing I do when I am out and am starving, I purchase a banana. I think the sugar in it really helps me curb the cravings until I can eat something real. I know it isn't always convienent, but it works. Carrying a cooler with veggies helps too.
