I woke up with my alarm - instead of hitting snooze for an hour :) I laid in bed and listened to the thunder.  It was awesome!  I got up got dressed and stretched.  I stepped out the door and wondered why I was so excited to get going.  It was so warm and muggy outside.
I needed to run 4.5 miles this morning and fully intended to do so.  I felt pretty good.  No tiredness.  My legs even felt good after my ride yesterday.  About mile two and half I started to get a side ache.  I slowed down.  I tried to breath different.  I stopped and stretched, breathing slowly.  Each time I started running again it would come back.  A sharp pain on my right side.  I had to stop a lot on my way home.  I was a little frustrated.
On the bright side, I did some hills today.  My IT band actually felt pretty good.  Another positive - my shoes felt pretty good.  I started to worry about them when my feet bugged me the other day.  I just decided no more heels to church.  I'm sticking to the flats until after Red Rock.
I'm so stinking excited for Red Rock.  It is much fun.  I'm hoping this weekend while we're in St. George we can drive the route for the final leg.

  1. You just keep going! I am sorry to hear that you are still having some pain/body struggles, but I'm impressed by your determination. I hope you have a good trip to St. George and get to check out the route while you are there.
