I rode my bike today. I forgot how much I like it. I've been on some lazy nice rides with my husband and boys. Today was harder. I am lucky to live in a place with so many hills. I think 1100 North must be the toughest there is - it's steep and long. Seriously. It feels like it will never end. I'm hoping that these hills will transfer to the Red Rock hills I'll be facing in six weeks. My IT band still freaks out on up and down hills. I've just got to have my legs ready. My last leg for Red Rock is 6.8 miles - the first 2 miles are downhill and the last 4.8 are uphill.
I'm really trying to strengthen my right leg - lots of hamstrings and gluteus medius moves. Killer, butt cramping moves. I hope they pay off within the next few weeks. I've also started some abs every day. I've got to get motivated and moving every day. I have so much more energy when I do. My back doesn't hurt when I work out -- it's just a good thing!
