One thing that I learned today - take water. I was dehydrated by mile 4. Never again. I will be prepared that way. I think that had a big impact on my run. Overall - 11.8 miles. Not the 12 I set out to do but it will do. I did it. The longest run for me ever. yeah!

Yesterday was my rest day and today was my long run. I was going to run outside on the track but it was soooo nice. The sun was out, it was warm. I opted for the road and canal road instead. Holy Heavens! This was hard. I am tired. It is completely different than running inside. I was pretty happy with how things were going inside. I figured I could finish my half in 2 1/2 hours. After running outside today, I think it will be closer to 3 hours. I have a lot of work to do. Running outside throws so many more elements into the mix. The canal was okay, hilly which I didn't mind but I was slower. Another part of the canal was really rutty and full of hoof prints, that was at mile 9 and I was tired.
