Whoa. What a morning. I ran outside again today. It was cold. I was slow. I was almost 2 minutes slower than normal. It was weird. I'm thinking that yesterday was harder than I thought and my body was tired. I also just feel slower outside. I don't know if I need to recalibrate my Nike+ app or what. I ran my 3 miles and I was done. Tomorrow is another day and I will be ready to run.
Eating is going okay. I'm within my daily points. I went grocery shopping and loaded up on veggies and fruit. My menus are healthy and I'm stocked. I've had two great weeks and it's going to continue - May 13 I want to be down another 5 pounds. This means a 2 1/2 pound this week. I really think I will be close. Makes me excited!
Is anyone freezing since shedding some of your insulation? I went to my son's baseball game last night and FROZE! I finally got warm about the time I needed to get up. Went and ran and froze again. I took the hottest, longest shower I could and I still was cold. I think I'm just chilled clear to the bones. I can't wait for some warm weather.

  1. Your body is probably tired from yesterday. Speed work is a killer. It may also be true that you are slower outside, and definitely if you did not run on the track. You have been running on a completely flat service for awhile now, but outside the terrain varies. If if there is just a little hill, your pace could be compromised. Good news though, you'll get used to it and speed up quickly. How many rest days are you taking right now? When and how many rest days does your plan include. One ofter a hard speed workout may not be a bad idea. Or a least an easy day the next day may be smart to allow your muscles time to rebuild. Also, don't forget the protein.

  2. Thanks for the info. I am running on an outside track - definitely not hilly. I am resting on Thursdays and Sundays. I do run on some Saturdays depending on my mileage for the week. I'm sure I'll get used to it - it was very discouraging this morning but honestly - I think I'm just tired. Tomorrow I'll rest and then do 12 miles on Friday. Thanks - and how's it going?
