A nice easy 3 miles run today. Sounds nice doesn't it? The problem is that my pace is pretty much the same every day. Nice easy run or a paced run. Always seems to be from 11:00 to 11:30 per mile. Really? January, February and March were faster - around 10:30/mile. What's the difference? Why have a slowed down? I should be faster now than ever or at least the same.

I've got to get this figured out. It bothers me. I'm not an Olympic athlete. I'm just someone who wants to do her best. I don't feel like I'm at my best right now as far as speed goes. Distance - I feel good. I can go the distance I need. Time. How to work on my time - that is the question.

Eating has been great. I felt like Saturday will be a good weigh in. Last night I made cinnamon rolls. My down fall. Not regular cinnamon rolls but sticky caramel coated ones. Yes. I.ate.one. Dang it. It was good. I'm not off the wagon. I just enjoyed it with my soup. I had such a great eating weekend. I don't want that one indulgence to ruin it. It won't. I've written it down. It's out of my head. It is tracked and accounted for. MOVING ON!

  1. Don't get discouraged. You are increasing mileage. That takes some speed away. Really work on those speed days for speed. Hit your target on every 800. Then on your last one, try to go just a little faster. Then know the next day you will be tired. A few days later, on a pace day, run the first mile at your 11:00 pace, then crank up your next mile. It is very difficult to increase both your distance and your speed at the same time. You have increased your distance, now you can work on speed. It will come, just be patient. Your are amazing and you are doing so great. Keep it up!
