A short 3 mile run today. Felt good to have it shorter but still tired. I've got to find some tips for recovering from my long run. I expected to feel a little lighter and more fresh today. I'm ready for my race and then I can run just to run and enjoy it a little more.

Friday I expected to run 12 miles and love it. I was outside, listening to the birds, enjoying the blue sky but really struggling. I learned a lot. I need to fuel my body and keep it hydrated. Then I will love my run and enjoy it so much more!

  1. The gravel on the canal is softer than the asphalt, thus requires more push for the same result. It takes extra energy to run in gravel, dirt, and especially sand.
