Just finished my first 5k of the day. It was a beautiful day for a run. Thanksgiving point is a great venue. I also weighed in today - Down 3.0 pounds. I'll take it. Only 1.2 more until I hit 70 pounds! June 11th - the day of my first ever half marathon is my goal for the 75 pound mark - totally doable! I can't wait.
I thought I would post a picture of a 5K from last year and one from mine today. I don't post many before and afters - that is a mistake. If you are blogging for heaven's sake, take some pictures:)

Running with Angels
I ran with my friend Tammy from WW - she's lost 100 pounds!

What a day. I ran this morning and when I got home I felt great and wanted to run some more. My neighbors were going on a run too so I joined them. I pushed my little girl on this run. It wasn't bad. Up hill the last half mile was tough. So I got 4.2 miles in with this run. I only had an hour until the Weight Watcher's Walk It Challenge at 1:00. I hurried and showered and then drove over to the challenge. I was a little late, the runners had already started. I wove my way in and out of the walkers. It was a tough 3.1. It is so much easier to run 10 consecutive miles. I feel really good about myself. Old self would have been done after this morning's 5K - wait... old self would never have run at all. Way to go me!

  1. Way to go on your races. And running another 4+. It is hard to stop, then go back out again and do more. Also, you look amazing in this picture!!! Keep going.
