Hello Monday!  I'm feeling great today.  I feel like I'm on the right path.  I'm even feeling good about marathon training.  Crazy!

I've decided on all my run days I'm going to lower body strength training.  My legs are already warmed up and ready to go.  My legs are hammered when I'm done but it's okay.  They are just getting ready to support me for 26.2 miles.

On Tuesday and Thursday I'm going to give my legs a little break and do spin.  I know what kind of break is that?  I am really just after the cardio benefits and not the strength which I can control.  Saturday will be my long runs and Sunday will be a much deserved rest day.  I'm feeling good.

The weight.  Oh my.  It's basically the same.  I'm focusing on my behaviors and staying under my calorie count.  More calories out.  It's what's going to happen. I measured today and I'm down another inch on my waist, hips and thighs.  That's awesome.  I love muscle.

I tried chia seeds in my protein shake this morning.  They are supposed to have some terrific health benefits and keep you full longer.  We'll see how it goes today.  

I've got to take some progress pictures and so I can see if there's a difference.  I'll keep working hard and keep dreaming of running in the sun outside down the road!

  1. I'm a chicken -- I won't do spin classes. I've seen those workouts and I'd rather do something else. Great job and having a plan for those rest days. Who said rest days had to be completely lazy days.
