Sitting trying to get ready for my 15 mile run. I'm actually a little anxious. Weird. I had a pancake and an orange for breakfast. I usually don't eat before I run but I'm not starting until noon. I will be starving by then, 15 miles has to take some energy! I'm overwhelmed by a marathon but week by week, mile by mile I'll be ready. Mentally I've just got to get it. Physically I'll be ready.

Food. Will food always be in my thoughts? I know it needs to be. For the last few weeks I've been following the Schwarzbein Principle - The Program. I really like it. I have been struggling with it this week. I've got to reread it and get back to it. Portions. Portions. Portions. I've got to focus on my stomach - am I really hungry? Food is fuel. I have noticed something since I started The Program -- my finger nails are growing and strong. That helps me know that I'm eating what I should. I was losing weight and I felt great. I just have to get back to the basics - Protein, Healthy Carb, good fat, non-starchy veggie with every meal and snack. Not hard - just planning.

Well, off to clean my house so when I'm done running I don't have to worry. Um. What for dinner? Time to figure that out now. Have a great day and I'm off on my 15 miler!
