Good Morning! I had my first longer run today. I haven't run over 3 miles for about 2 weeks. Today I did 6 miles. I stopped and walked a few times. Enjoyed it and tried to focus and mentally get back into things. My toes - tingled. I'm a little concerned and I'm not sure if I should wait until my appointment in three weeks or call sooner.
Lisa, just to answer your question. Running today or starting to run over two years ago, I think I still fight the same battle. The hardest part is starting. Some days, I really feel great and I could run forever. Other days, it is a battle. It's a battle to get out of bed, get dressed and get moving. I truly believe the battle is 80% mental - maybe more! Just never quit. Get up, get started and go. It's okay to walk. Really it is. Just keep going. Don't let a day go by that you don't run or be active. It's okay to have rest day, I've decided to cross train on my rest days from running. I'll get on the bike or do strength training. Running isn't glorious every day, it just isn't. Do I love it? Yep - 80% of the time I love it!
