I figured out how to use my Garmin a little more. On the Garmin web site, I was able to map my route and then load it onto my Garmin. Loved it. The only problem was it only counted down my time. It always said 15 miles to go and told me when I was of course. I need to play with it more.

I found a new freedom today. Since I didn't know my pace, or how far I had run - I had to figure out how I felt. I stopped when I felt like it and picked up my pace when I needed to. I actually felt really, really good. The only exception was my feet. My right foot is significantly worse but I felt it in my left toes as well. I really don't want cortisone shots again. Towards then end of my run I could feel that my blood sugar was low. I ate a couple Powerade chews and felt a lot better. I took a granola to try - not really a fan. I also had a side ache to start, it lasted for the first 30 minutes. Never went away so I started to focus on my breathing, stopped and stretched my side a little. It eventually went away. Running on asphalt felt really forgiving. I really did enjoy a new route, the beautiful weather and just a great run outside.
