I woke up to rain this morning. It was a day that in the past I would have gone back to bed. Instead I got dressed, put my visor and my Garmin on and went running. I ran a marathon in the rain for over five hours at forty-three degrees, I think I can run for thirty minutes at seventy degrees. It was nice. My first voluntary run in the rain. It will happen again! I did an interval run. It was tough and it felt great to push myself. Loved it.
So, I've been looking into strength training. Some pros, some cons. Just what do I want to do? Insanity? P90X? Jillian? Bob? What is the best for me? What will allow me to fit in my running and not interrupt any training I will be doing? I think I've found it. What I've found will allow me to run on the cardio days and do strength the other days. It feels good. It goes along with Weight Watchers easily without any dramatic changes. It even allows me freedom once a week.
I'm sure you've all heard of Body for Life. My husband and I have tried it before. I wasn't really committed to anything at that point in life. Now I am. Now things are different. I'm ready to finish this journey strong. Is the journey ever going to end? No, but this section needs to wrap up.
Today I'm setting up my weights and getting my room set up. Monday is Day 1 - the ball starts rolling. I'm also going to get my progress sheets copied and filled in so I know exactly what I'm doing each day.
I'm going to keep this on the down-low. No one needs to know this is happening. I want to see changes. I want to see a different shape to my body. I want my clothes to fit better. I want to finish what I start in January 2010! I want to hit my 100 pound loss mark! I'm close.
Anyone in this with me? Google Body for Life, they have a great site. I bought a book years ago. I think I'll hit the DI and Savers and look for a new copy. Come on.... you know you want to... Do it with me!
Be Strong and Keep Moving!
