Yesterday was my scheduled speed run. I was dreading it, I don't know why. It was actually pretty good. I warmed up for a mile, then ran 1 1/2 miles at 5K pace then cooled down for 5 minutes then repeated the 1 1/2 mile run. This was followed by a mile cool down. I only did a half mile because I was running out of time. My legs felt great. I really felt light and like I could just glide through. When I started my second run my legs really and truly felt like they could fly. That lasted for a while. Loved it!
It is supposed to snow on Saturday so I'm trying to figure out when to do my long run. It's looking like today or inside tomorrow. Either will work as long as it gets done!
Sounds like you are doing great! I haven't been running outside of bootcamp - all the sprinting we've been doing for the last three weeks in addition to the squats has left my legs heavy and tired and sore, and running just isn't happening. I want to get back on it though! Maybe you will be my inspiration!
