Awesome run today.  It felt so good!  I actually could have gone back out again later.  After my running class I was really excited to work on everything.  My arms are an easy fix - well, the easiest of all the items.  They feel very comfortable at a 90* angle swing straight and not letting my elbow come past my waist.  I focused on the arms first.  Next I worked on my posture.  Tall and proud, leaning slightly.  The other night the guys teaching the class referred to the lean as your gas pedal.

Want to go faster? Lean more - from the hips but the entire body.  I'm sure I'm not describing that well but in my head --- it makes sense.  Does that scare you?

Next I focused on my cadence or the number of times my foot hits the ground in one minute.  The goal is 180 steps - 45 steps in 30 seconds.  I'm close.  I keep counting 43 and 44.  My goal is 45.  I'll get it.  With increased cadence comes better foot strike.  Longer stride for me creates a hill strike.  By decreasing my stride length, I'll decrease the chance of hill striking when I run.  This one is BIG!  I've really got to work on this one.  Did I think my Altras would instantly correct this.... well yeah.  I was hoping.
It's okay.  My run today just felt great.  My uphills were strong and my downhills were stronger.  Just the what I'm working on.  I'm loving it.

Right now I'm working on the t-shirt design for Red Rock. Oh man!  I'm getting excited!
