A huge set back for me last Friday. I was five miles into an eight mile run and my knee pain was unbearable. I had to call my husband to come pick me up. Outside knee pain - IT band. It started hurting about mile two and I just thought it would go away. I went to physical therapy the same day -- no running -- rest and lots of stretching was the directive. So, here I sit almost a week later. Months of training behind me and I'm "resting". I tried to run yesterday - just curious and sick of not running - I did a mile and I felt that twinge in my knee and I stopped. UG. I'm very frustrated. I want to go run and keep up what I've built up. Saturday will be here and I'm hoping that I can run.
Ugh - I am so sorry that you aren't able to run right now. Hopefully by resting this week, you will be good to go for Saturday. I can't wait to hear all about it.
