Sitting in physical therapy - not really just sitting. Had ultrasound & now sitting here having electronic stimulus. Lovely. Been here every day this week. Trying to have a functioning IT band - so I can run on Saturday.
What the heck am I doing?
Doubt is creeping in.
Monday I left PT with my husband and just cried. I know my legs can do it. I know it. Mentally I thought I was ready. How do I deal with the IT band when it happens? It is going to happen. The thing that will be varying is the mile it will happen. How will I deal with this both mentally & physically?

Hey Molly! Hang in there! You are such an inspiration! You can do this marathon--you are strong! You can do hard things! You will probably have to walk and stretch along the way, but you can finish. Look how far you have come! I will be thinking of you. Good luck! ~ Angela
ReplyDeleteWith prayer for one thing. And strength and confidence. I know you'll make it - you've been working so hard. Some of my most memorable/best runs were the ones where I had to pray for endurance and help. Don't let the pre-race jitters get you down. I agree with Ang - you'll probably need to stop and stretch that stubborn IT band along the way, but don't let it stop you. You will do amazing!
