The last long run of training is done! We did an eleven mile run on the Jordan River trail again. My friend & running partner wasn't feeling the best so did 10 instead:). I felt good - not great but my cold is definitely on it's way out:).
My feet are not anywhere close to how they felt 2 months ago which is awesome - they may start to tingle toward the end of the 26.2 miles but that's to be expected!
My IT band is still a concern. It started to hurt around mile 8 today - I stopped & stretched and I could finish.
I'm only running 2 days this week so that should help. More stretching, rolling & ice should help too.
What I've got to get figured out is the game plan. It's going to hurt so then what - what actions can I take to finish? Stretching early before pain. Walking more - possibly each mile.
I am going to finish!
