Oh my gosh! Home at last! It was so nice to sleep in my own bed last night. Loved it!
I celebrated my 38th birthday yesterday. It was a busy day. Full of traveling home, church and a dutch oven dinner with some great friends. I am one of the luckiest people ever. I have so much to be thankful for -- I am so grateful.

We stayed up so late talking to our friends, that my friend and I decided that running this morning was out. I was relieved and went to bed ready to sleep in. Six o'clock came early and I woke to a text. It was my friend's daughter who was telling me she was late but wanted to run -- could I wait for her. It was a great wake up call -- I hurried and got dressed, went out to meet her and had the awesome surprise that my friend woke up early too. I love running with a group. It pushes me. I know they would like to go faster and there will be days for that, but today was great.

Last night dinner was awesome. After traveling all morning, then hurrying to church and then hurrying to get some dutch oven potatoes going -- I hadn't eaten anything but a banana and a half of a peanut butter sandwich. I was hungry. I loaded up on salad, fruit, cooked veggies and yummy turkey. I did have some potatoes which were fantastic. Everyone brought fantastic deserts - I did eat some. They were great and I'm glad I ate them -- I really don't want to eat anything sugary for a long, long time.

It looks like the Red Rock Relay is going to happen! I'm so excited. My money is due on Friday -- I can't wait to run it. We are trying to come up with a team name - something funny, something inspiring, something awesome. We have a great group of people with us. I will be in van 1 which is basically my friends I drove for on Ragnar. I'm so lucky to have a husband who lets me run when I want and travel when I want.

So I added a new quote that I love and had forgotten about. It's a quote that I used in my classroom all the time. It's a quote that a friend from high school had - she had big dreams and achieved several. She was killed in a car accident just after graduating from college. I was reminded of this quote when I saw it in a tribute to her at my high school this weekend. So glad I could be reminded of it again and I really think it will help me focus the final weight loss leg of my journey.
