Day 11 of the Sugar Detox - I'm feeling great in a lot of ways. I'm not bloated and feeling huge all the time. I'm dropping weight daily. I like eating what I'm eating and food is my friend again. I like the way my clothes are fitting. I like feeling in control.
I am struggling with energy. I am fine during the day after I recover from a workout but recovery seems long. If it's a run over 5 miles I struggle longer. I've got to figure out the athletic modifications. When do I eat what is allowed? Do I eat before? When is that? The night before or do I need to get up super early before I run and eat?
Today I ran and did some hills, similar to Monday. Oh my goodness. Seriously the well is dry. No energy. Uphill was a struggle, flat was a struggle. I was so thankful for the downhill on the way home. Today, I'm going to focus on non-grain carbs and figure out what to do. I have some sweet potatoes and shredded hashbrowns. I'm also going to incorporate some fruit. I know, I know. It's not part of what I'm doing but it's got to be done. Ragnar is next week and I've got to get some energy back. If I don't.... it will be a long, long adventure!
