So I made an appointment with a Sports Medicine Doctor. I have an appointment for tomorrow - I was so excited to get in so soon. I'm frustrated that I didn't do this sooner.
Today I got up and ran. I felt really good. I ran down hill and then ran back up. I planned on about 4 miles. I made it 2.21 and then my IT band killed me. Was this hill too much? The downhill? Two miles will not finish a marathon.
This whole process has been frustrating. From the moment my feet hurt, I should have made an appointment. I waited. Then I had to deal with the whole foot thing. Now this. I just have to keep reminding myself that I didn't cut back because I wanted to. I cut back because I was told to. I'm wondering if just doing 3 and 4 mile runs during the week and then 15-17 miles runs on the weekend was just wrong. Should I have thrown an 8 or 10 mile in during the week. Yes, probably but would I still be fighting my feet if I had done that???
I'm excited for tomorrow and I'll report hopefully good new then!
