What a tragedy in Boston yesterday.  My heart just hurts for everyone impacted.  We've all been to the finish line.  We know the feelings that are there.  I can't imagine yesterday's feelings.  The expectations of finishing and then to have such chaos and destruction.  Wow.  My thoughts and prayers have been on Boston since.

Seems silly to post now about running but life goes on and who wins if we stop living?

Today was my speed workout for the week.  I am mighty proud of my legs!  Today's workout was a mile warmup followed by three one mile runs, each at the pace of 9:23 with a 400m rest interval.  I am happy to say that my splits were 9:20, 9:14, and 9:06.  I've never run a mile that fast before.  I love the program that my friend Marc found and shared.  LOVE IT!  I'm running three days a week - yes training for a marathon and only running three days!  The runs are done with purpose and mean something.  I'm not just running to run and get my miles in.  The days I'm not running I'm doing cardio and strength training.  That's what it's about.  Loving it and getting better with each week!
